Scalp Micropigmentation is the best solution for hairloss. We can do one of three things for you! We offer a ‘buzzed look’ which implants the illusion of ‘hair follicles’; we can add density to build a ‘fuller look’ of hair; or we can mask any scars on your scalp using a blend of SMP tattoo pigments so colour stays natural without discolouration or losing integrity.
SMP is not guaranteed to grow new hair. Although the stimulation from the tattoo device can certainly promote blood flow and potentially encourage new growth, it isn’t something we promote, advertise or promise.
Depending on your balding pattern, SMP gives the illusion of a stubbled look on a bald or balding head. It also increases scalp and colour density to a thinning hairline and offers scar camouflage to any areas damaged.
Although SMP is a type or ‘tattooing’ procedure, the technique and micro-needles used is entirely different than a body tattoo. It is a specialized procedure that is non-invasive and has produced amazing results with little to zero recovery time.

After Care
After Care
Aftercare for SMP is very important for achieving the best, longest-lasting results. Here’s a clear outline for you to follow:
Immediate Aftercare (first 4 days)
- No washing, sweating or touching
- Keep the scalp dry and clean-avoid shampooing, swimming, heavy workouts that break sweat or scratching the area.
- Avoid Sun Exposure
- Keep the scalp covered when outside to keep your fresh pigment protected.
- No Shaving
- Don’t shave the scalp until at least day 5-7 to avoid disturbing healing
- Day 5-10
- Gentle washing- rinse lightly with water or use a mild, fragrance free shampoo
- Apply light fragrance-free moisturizer to prevent dryness or flaking (La Roche Posay healing balm recommended)
- Still avoid Swimming, saunas, steam rooms, solariums and heavy sweating.
- After 10 days
- Return to normal workouts and activities
- Safe to shave carefully
- Continue use of moisturizer if flaking or itch persists
- Long Term Care
- Sun Protection: Always use sunscreen or cover your scalp to prevent fading
- Moisturize regularly to keep the ‘buzzed’ look fresh and the pigment natural
- Avoid harsh products-skip strong exfoliants or medicated shampoos on the treated area
SMP touchups may be needed over time, as pigment naturally softens and fades. We recommend checking in with your SMP Artist every 3-5 years for a consultation.
