Hello and welcome! I’m Alison, CEO and founder of Oileán Wellness. I’m blessed to share life and business with my husband, Dave — founder of Breton Group, St. John’s Minor Basketball, and Rock Sports Academy. Together, we’ve raised four amazing children and built several businesses rooted in passion, purpose, and connection. I truly consider myself one of the luckiest — every step of this journey has been guided by love, family, and a deep commitment to growth.

Oilean was born in our dining room. Not an ideal space but I let my heart lead me. I desperately desired to serve the people of our eastern island with services they could currently only find on the mainland. 3D Areola tattoo was my ‘5th baby’. I birthed a vision of offering Paramedical Tattoo to cancer survivors and continued to educate myself, eventually making that dream a reality. I quickly discovered that Cosmetic and Paramedical Tattoo was not only an art form, but a fresh confidence and new identity for some people. I fell in love with my clients, their stories of triumph and knew I had to come up with a plan to get out of our dining room and into a clinic space-even though we were in the middle of a pandemic.

145 Aberdeen Avenue was our big plan we dreamed up-Newfoundland’s first Paramedical & Cosmetic Tattoo Clinic. A space designed perfectly for both my husband’s businesses as well as a clinic space for Oilean Wellness. We share the kitchen but have separate spaces to do what we love. When I walk into my clinic, I unapologetically shine my light- I know my purpose is this —and my passion is fulfilled. There is so much joy and meaning in our creation and in the transformations and healing I witness everyday.

Since opening our new location in 2021, I’ve continued to evolve and expand both personally and professionally. My services now include Scalp Micropigmentation, Scar Camouflage, Permanent Eyeliner, Saline Removal, Yoga Classes, Reiki, Intuitive Energy Healing, and Life Coaching — all designed to help others feel confident, balanced, and aligned in every aspect of their lives.

With this growth came the birth of Oileán Academy, a venture dedicated to empowering others to learn new skills and create meaningful change. There’s something truly magical about watching students courageously take the tattoo machine in their hands for the first time! I’ve developed two in-depth courses — Nanobrow and Lip Blush — each offering a 2-day immersive training with three live models. My students graduate with the tools, confidence, and mentorship they need to succeed as PMU Artists, knowing they have a teacher who genuinely supports their journey every step of the way.

My love for beauty started over 20 years ago, when I first trained in LCN, waxing, and pedicures. What began as a simple interest quickly grew into a lifelong passion for helping others feel confident and radiant.

In 2019, I followed my heart into the world of permanent makeup. I’ve been fortunate to learn from incredible artists and educators—training with Lash Forever Canada, Ink Boutique Houston, BrianBrows Halifax, and most recently, Next Level PMU. There in Toronto, I pushed myself further than ever before, competing and being recognized for my skill, passion, and dedication to this craft.
